The next WGD will be on a Sunday. I don't know about you but there's not a lot you can do on a Sunday, especially if what you want to do will specifically involve alcohol but you have to go to work in the morning!
It had to asked at some point, so we might as well ask you all now.
When do you want your next WGD?

I voted third saturday, would be nice to have it as a set date but then as time goes on all we'd have is events near it and not on it anyway..

I'm inclined to go for third Saturday rather than fixed single date, so I voted thusly...

I was tempted to go for the last weekend of the month as most people are paid then, but I soon realised it was Bank Holiday weekend and everyone has a tendency to bugger off in caravans, therefore a logisitical disaster. As a result, the third weekend of May makes more sense to me, but mostly Saturday so you don't have to rush around after work to get ready.
I'd still like to see other people's opinions on this...click the button, people...

Always on 3rd Saturday makes a lot of sense. Whatever you do, always keep it on a Saturday because this year, I drove like 3.5 hours to attend events. No way that could be done if that was on a weeknight.

they all seam like good ideas but even though this sight is for just a day maybe make a Goth week I mean other cultures / courses have them that way it can be convenient for all sorts of events and happenings.

I like the idea of keeping it on the 22nd. Partly because I host a radio show on Saturday nights, so if it was always on a Saturday I'd never be able to go out to any World Goth Day events, but also because I like the idea of when it's on a weekday people can celebrate it by going to work all goth out. It's also easier to keep track of when it is if the date doesn't keep moving.

floating day on the weekend I think is a good idea. Seeing as how it isn't the same as Memorial Day, it should be good ~Octavian

I'm with sticking to the 22nd as part of the fun surely can be incorporated into work time too for many people it gives them something to look forward to. I for one in the future would love to go into my office gothed up!

May 22nd was actually 4TH Saturday so that would be my vote if we're trying to shoot for consistency with this year.

I've been debating whether the 3rd Saturday of every May be the day OR leaving it as May 22 every year. Nothing governmental is on May 22nd VS. the fact that the 3rd Saturday in May is ALREADY Armed Forces Day! So....We goths need our OWN day!! Definately NOT 1 that is already governmentally reserved here in America. That's my opinion + I'm stickin' 2 it!!!!

The third Saturday in May is good! You have time to prepair and to clean afterwards,(if you have it at your home). Otherwise you have time to go and comeback from an event or two.... only problem I have is that this specific Saturday is our Culurenigth in town. It is all kinds of fun going on, but not enough Goth stuff. One alternative fashionshow and some dancing. that was sort of it.
