Freak Week in Richmond, VA

Hi all,

Not only are we (RVAFreaks and Fallout) hosting our second annual WGD picnic, but this year we've put together an entire weeks worth of events leading up to World Goth Day.

Complete details can be found here, but here's a quick rundown of what's going on in RVA for Freak Week 2011:

5/16 Monday
Freak Swap - Anyone can come and trade and/or sell their wares for a special edition of Fallout's Black Market goth flea market.

5/17 Tuesday
Freakshow - Live show at Fallout featuring Bella Morte, Dexter and Point Blank. Afterward DJ Scarypete spins an incredible set of deathrock, horrorpunk and old school goth.

5/18 Wednesday
Freaklesque - A night of gothic burlesque (Richmond is renown for burlesque!).

5/19 Thursday
Freak Shoot/Dance Contest - Manic Monsters photographers will be shooting anyone who wants to be included in the popular photo gallery that is a part of RVAFreaks.com. Also that night we are hosting an industrial dance contest!

5/20 Friday
Old school goth dance party at Fallout featuring renown DJ Sick Mick!

5/21 Saturday
Goth Prom - Fallout's yearly event that is always a blast.

5/22 Sunday
World Goth Day picnic at the same location as last year, starting at 1 pm.

yeah, the turnout was excellent. we didn't know how well an entire week of events would do, so it was sort of a dry run. but each night the turnout was amazing, so we had a lot of support from the community. next year we plan to step it up big time with some even bigger events. thanks again for all your hard work in planning WGD Cruel.

BTW, what the frick does "it looked ace" even mean? oh you silly Brits and your lingo!

Er, yeah...part of it is down to lingo but mainly down to the way I talk ie. not making a lot of sense the majority of the time!
