Dear all I have written a coming of age novel that addresses the ups and downs of being a teenage Goth. The novel is written for an adult audience in mind but could easily cross over into young adult fiction. The narrative is written in the first person, from the perspective of the protagonist, Symeon. Symeon is a 16 year old Goth living in Penrith, England. Symeon tells the reader about the summer following his last GCSE exam. Symeon's summer is set to a sound track of Bahaus, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Virgin Prunes, Sioux and the banches and other such bands. Over the course of the summer Symeon experiences love, sex, drugs, existentialism and family crisis and ends in self realisation and an unanswered question. If anyone is interested in reading the novel or if there are any agents/publishers out there that woul like to know more please do get in touch. I loved writting every word and think the story would appeal to both Goths and non Goths! Apologies for any typos in this post, I have typed with one hand as I am holding my eight week old daughter in my other arm! Not only is my brain slightly fried, she is refusing to sleep anywhere but on me today. Best Wishes Victoria
